Cauliflower Wings

If you want you’ve never tried cauliflower wings before, let me just say this: they tend to surprise people in the best way.

You start with simple cauliflower florets, coat them in a seasoned batter, roast or bake them until they’re crispy, and then toss them in your favorite sauce. The result? Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of flavor.

This is one of those recipes I love sharing because it shows people that plant-based eating doesn’t mean giving up the foods you enjoy. It just means learning how to recreate those familiar flavors in a different way. And sometimes, the result is even better.

Cauliflower wings are perfect for game day, family movie night, or when you just want something fun and snackable without relying on processed foods. Pair them with your favorite dipping sauce and a simple side salad, and you’ve got a crowd-pleasing dish that even non-vegans usually reach for seconds of.

And once you get the seasoning right, trust me—nobody is asking where the chicken went.

In this recipe, I’ll show you how to make cauliflower wings that are crispy, flavorful, and easy enough to add to your regular rotation.

3/4 - 1 cup all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon pepper

¾ cup milk or milk alternative

1 head cauliflower

1/4 - 1/2 cup buffalo sauce or hot sauce

2 tablespoons coconut, avocado, or olive oil

2 teaspoons maple syrup

(1 teaspoons paprika - optional)

Put all the ingredients except for cauliflower in a mixing bowl. Whisk the mixture. Coat the cauliflower and then make sure and put it in the air fryer at 410° - 450° for 10 minutes then flip it and cook for another 10 minutes. If you want to cook the cauliflower inside the sauce, take it out of the air fryer, put it in another bowl, and coat it directly with the buffalo sauce, then put it back in the air fryer and cook for an additional 10 to 20 minutes. Enjoy!
